Nigeria national oil company intends to generate 4000 megawatts of electricity within ten years

Nigerian National Petroleum (NNPC) gas and energy in a statement signed by the general manager of the company said it would generate 4000 megawatts of electricity for the next ten years.
The head of the Department said that NNPC will achieve this goal by building an independent power plant. The company will work with the Nigerian domestic joint ventures, international energy companies and local investors to establish a Nigeria LNG business model. NNPC is currently interested in the two power plant projects in Afam and Okpai in the delta state. Two projects are in the form of a joint venture set up, set up by the Nigerian Agip oil company and Shell Petroleum Development Company.
NNPC will invest in the construction of Okpai power plant two, Obite and Agura power plant projects. The company will expand its main natural gas pipeline on the Ajaokuta-Abuja-Kaduna-Kano axis. In the next ten years, NNPC intends to expand its natural gas sales company from the current standard of cubic feet to the scale of 3 billion ~40 billion, will account for half of the natural gas market.
